Letter from Gabriel Valay to Robert Schuman (6 June 1950)
Text On 6 June 1950, less than a month after the Schuman Declaration, the French Agriculture Minister, Gabriel Valay, inspired by the pooling of coal and steel resources, submits to Robert Schuman a proposal relating to a common agricultural market in Europe.
