Note from the Quai d’Orsay on the United Kingdom and the Atlantic crisis (Paris, 29 June 1966)
Text On 29 June 1966, the French Foreign Ministry publishes a note in which it analyses the reactions of the British Government, as set out in three documents, to France’s decision to withdraw its forces from the integrated command of the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO). The note gives details of Franco-British relations and the United Kingdom’s activities within the Atlantic Alliance.
