Seventieth Franco-German summit: Discussions between Jacques Chirac and Helmut Kohl (Weimar, 19 September 1997)

At this meeting, the two leaders reaffirm their shared commitment to establishing the euro on the date and according to the criteria laid down in the Maastricht Treaty.
