Stuttgart city centre in 1947 and 1955
Bild In 1947, two years after the end of hostilities in Europe, the city centre of Stuttgart is still in ruins. By 1955, however, the town’s reconstruction has been completed, thanks, in large part, to the economic and financial aid given by the United States to Europe under the Marshall Plan.
