On 7 December 2015, Frédéric Allemand, coordinator of the CVCE’s European Integration Studies Department, will be speaking at a conference on the topic ‘Saving the euro and saving Greece’ at the University of Luxembourg.
Just a few days before the European Council at which the Five Presidents’ Report on the development of Economic and Monetary Union will be discussed, this conference will examine the difficulties facing the euro and Europe and will look at possible avenues for progress.
The conference is being organised and chaired by Prof. David Howarth and will feature the following speakers: George Pagoulatos, former economic adviser to Lucas Papademos, Prof. James Savage (University of Virginia), Prof. Michele Chang (College of Europe), Prof. Herwig Hoffman (University of Luxembourg), Dr. Tal Sadeh (Tel Aviv University) and Frédéric Allemand (coordinator of the European Integration Studies Department at the CVCE).
The conference will take place at the University of Luxembourg’s Limpertsberg campus in the Science Building, lecture theatre BSC E02-001, from 6 to 9pm.
