‘A unique historic agreement’ from Le Courrier — Communauté européenne–Afrique–Caraïbes–Pacifique (March 1975)

In March 1975, the bimonthly bulletin Le Courrier — Communauté européenne–Afrique–Caraïbes–Pacifique publishes a special edition on the signing, on 28 February 1975 in Lomé, of the cooperation agreement between the European Economic Community (EEC) and 46 African, Caribbean and Pacific (ACP) states. Claude Cheysson, Member of the Commission of the European Communities in charge of development and cooperation, analyses the philosophy of the new Lomé Convention and how it fits into the overall development policy of the European Communities.
