Texte In a diplomatic cable dated 9 October 1970, the Italian Permanent Representation to the EEC in Brussels informs its Foreign Ministry of the finalisation of the Werner Committee’s work and the unanimous approval of the plan by stages for the establishment of an economic and monetary union.
