Texte In a diplomatic cable dated 29 January 1970, the Italian Permanent Representation to the EEC in Brussels informs its Foreign Ministry of the meeting of the EC Council of Ministers to examine economic and financial issues, and outlines the conclusions of this meeting, which emphasise the need for a period of reflection during 1970 on the establishment of economic and monetary union.
