Interview with Lex Roth: Pierre Werner and the restoration of the monument of national remembrance in Luxembourg, known as the Gëlle Fra (Sanem, 3 June 2010)
Vidéo In this interview, Lex Roth, a former teacher seconded to the Ministry of Cultural Affairs and given responsibility for organising Luxembourgish language courses from 1980 to 1984, and Chairman of the Committee for the restoration of the monument of national remembrance in Luxembourg, known as the Gëlle Fra (dedicated to the memory of soldiers from Luxembourg who died in the two World Wars and the Korean War), in 1985, discusses the action taken by Pierre Werner, Luxembourg Prime Minister and Minister of State from 1959 to 1974 and from 1979 to 1984 and Minister for Cultural Affairs from 1979 to 1984, to promote the reconstruction of the Gëlla Fra monument.
