Interview with Pierre Pescatore, Luxembourg diplomat from 1947 to 1967 and Judge at the Court of Justice of the European Communities from 1967 to 1985, carried out by the Centre Virtuel de la Connaissance sur l’Europe (CVCE) on 11 February 2009 at Pierre Pescatore’s home. The interview was conducted by Étienne Deschamps, a Researcher at the CVCE, and particularly focuses on the following subjects: his early diplomatic career, the development of the Luxembourg Foreign Ministry, the Rome Treaties, the Fouchet Plans, the empty chair crisis, his university career and his role as a Judge at the Court of Justice of the European Communities.
