Text On 5 February 1973, at the Overseas Bankers Club (Guildhall, UK), Sir Christopher Soames, Vice-President of the Commission of the European Communities, gives an address on the external relations of the European Communities. In this address he highlights the importance of Britain’s role in this realm as well as its commitment to cooperation with other countries to develop international free trade agreements.
