‘A new beginning’ from Le Figaro (4 December 1969)
Text On 4 December 1969, in the French daily newspaper Le Figaro, the reporter, Roger Massip, describes the Hague European Summit as a new beginning for European integration, likening it to the Messina Conference which, in June 1955, allowed European integration to be revived.
