Video In this interview, Charles Goerens, Luxembourg Minister for Defence from 1999 to 2004, former member of the Assembly of Western European Union (WEU) and its President from 1987 to 1990, gives his opinion on the possibility offered to the European Union (EU) by the 1997 Treaty of Amsterdam to appropriate the Petersberg tasks for itself, while contemplating the possible integration of WEU into the EU.
