McKenna v. An Taoiseach (No 2) judgment handed down by the Irish Supreme Court (17 November 1995)

Text
In its judgment McKenna v. An Taoiseach (No 2) of 17 November 1995, the Irish Supreme Court rules on the government’s use of public funds in organising a referendum campaign. Although the judgment concerns the organisation of a referendum in general, it is believed that it will have an indirect effect on the ratification process for the European treaties.
