Rationing of essential commodities (Paris, December 1945)
Image A few months after the end of the Second World War, the revival of production in France is still not sufficient to meet the needs of the French people. In December 1945, Parisians queue outside a bakery before the reinstatement of bread rationing on 1 January 1946.
