‘The Saar is European!’ from Het Vrije Volk (17 January 1950)
Text On 17 January 1950, the Dutch daily newspaper Het Vrije Volk reports on the outcome of the meeting, held two days earlier in Bonn, between Robert Schuman, French Foreign Minister, and Konrad Adenauer, Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany (FRG), on the Saar question.
