Text On 8 March 1957, the Luxembourg Communist daily newspaper Zeitung vum Lëtzeburger Vollek deplores the financial cost to the country, deemed to be exorbitant, of the Treaties establishing the European Economic Community (EEC) and the European Atomic Energy Community (EAEC or Euratom).
