Text On 26 June 1993, the French daily newspaper Le Monde reports on the police and customs operation led by Western European Union (WEU) on the Danube to aid the Bulgarian, Hungarian and Romanian authorities enforce the application of sanctions imposed by the United Nations against the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia.
