Address given by Hans-Dietrich Genscher to the WEU Assembly (Paris, 20 June 1984)
Texte On 20 June 1984, Hans-Dietrich Genscher, German Foreign Minister and President-in-Office of the Council of Western European Union (WEU), submits the Council’s Annual Report for 1983 to the WEU Assembly. During his address, he outlines the arguments in favour of the reactivation of WEU, the only European organisation which is authorised, under its treaty, to deal with defence and security matters.
