Parliamentary debates in the lower house of the Oireachtas on the 18th amendment to the Irish Constitution (26 March 1998)
Texte Extract from the minutes of debates in the Dáil Éireann on 26 March 1998. Following these discussions, the lower house of the Irish Parliament approves the resolution tabled by the government to amend Article 29(4) of the Constitution so as to authorise ratification of the Treaty of Amsterdam. The amendment subsequently has to be approved by a referendum.
