Recommendation 126 of the WEU Assembly on the political future of NATO (Paris, 17 November 1965)
Texte On 17 November 1965, concerned at the growing divergence between the foreign policies of the Member States of the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO), the Assembly of Western European Union (WEU) adopts Recommendation 126 on the political future of NATO. It particularly asks the WEU Council to urge the member governments of the organisation to strengthen an integrated defence system to uphold confidence in the deterrent.
