Text On 26 March 1957, the day after the signing of the Treaty of Rome establishing the European Economic Community (EEC), the French daily newspaper Le Monde examinesconsiders the issues at stake inimplications of the establishment of the European Common Market and Euratom by the Treaties signed the previous day in Rome by the Foreign Ministers of the Six.
