Directive No 1 from the Steering Committee addressed to the Atomic Energy Commission (20 July 1955)
Text On 20 July 1955, during the Messina Conference, the Steering Committee of the Spaak Committee adopts a Directive in which it instructs the Atomic Energy Commission, after the Messina Conference, to consider the means to establish a European Atomic Energy Community for industrial and peaceful purposes.
