Text On 16 December 1987, Alfred Cahen, Secretary-General of Western European Union (WEU), sends a letter to Charles Goerens, President of the WEU Assembly, in which he outlines the activities of the Secretariat-General in the area of public relations. He would particularly like to attach greater importance to keeping the press and public informed.
