TexteOn 28 and 29 October 1981, the Economic and Social Committee adopts an opinion on the prospects for the Communities’ policies in the 1980s. After reviewing the economic situation in Europe, it concludes that the Communities should move towards a genuine European union based on the existing treaties and new guidelines set by foreign policy.
